Monponsett Inn/Lakeside Villa with Stephanie and Jeremy
In the middle of April, I had the privilege of photographing the first wedding to take place in the new ceremony space at Monponsett Inn in Halifax. What a gorgeous renovation!
It was a rainy day, but Stephanie and Jeremy just made that room SPARKLE! My favorite part was when Donna, the officiant, asked them to pause for a moment during the ceremony and look out at all their guests. Too often, we breeze through our days and don’t take in all we are feeling because we’re too busy looking forward to the next moment. I love that Stephanie and Jeremy looked out at the crowd of people here to witness their vows and commitment to each other. You could feel the love in the room at that moment. It was truly beautiful to see.
A few notable details (of their details)… Stephanie’s veil was actually her mother’s! I love how regal it looked on her and how well it matched her new dress! And that cake topper – totally adorable! I also loved how their florist, Grace, was able to reuse the greenery from the arbor at the ceremony to the mantle for the fireplace during the reception. They really thought of everything!
